Something I know to be true…

.....That you won't look at the photographs, postcards and art prints you have printed out or bought if they are in a pile in your living room/bedroom/drawer. The pile will get bigger and probably moved further out of sight until three years from now you'll be moving and find them.

Your memories deserve to be witnessed way more regularly than that. And I'm not just talking about photographs of people that are no longer with us, as precious as they are. I'm talking about recent experiences, photos of or postcards from the places you have loved visiting. Prints you've bought, art you've seen and loved. Having them displayed now serves as daily reminders of those experiences and the people you spent time with when you walk down the stairs or walk in your hallway. There will be something on your wall to make you smile.

Having photographs and pieces of art framed will help to ensure the elements affect them over time as little as possible. Preserve them. Protect them from tears, folds, sunlight, insects and moisture.

Those treasured and preserved pieces of art or photographs can then be passed on to your family or friends or to your community. We all treasure those links and connection to the past, to what went before us. Let the memories be seen, by you, those around you and by those yet to come.

Find out more about my framing services here or send me a message to hello@stretchframes.co.uk I’d love to chat about what you have in that pile of yours.
